New Zealand Reserve Bank Chief Economist Conway: We acknowledge that the interval between meetings from November to February is too long.
Conway, chief economist of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand: The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has reviewed the frequency of its monetary policy decision announcements.
On October 15, Bank of England Governor Bailey pointed out: "There is already a fairly clear link between global economic uncertainty and gold prices." He added: "I think higher uncertainty has driven gold prices higher, the risk of economic fragmentation is increasing, and the central banks gold purchases that we know about are all factors that have worked together to push gold prices higher."
